Alot of people will say don't chase afte rthem

It will just drive them away or make you look hopeless, but I have seen and heard stories of a guy chasing after a girl for months, she finally gives in and they end up falling in love and get married

This buddy of mine met this girl in college. They would talk but she wouldn't say yes to anything serious. He kept chasing her and trying and trying then she finally said yes

Now 4 year slater they are married with 1 daughter and another on the way.

Few months ago she made a facebook post about how thankful she is that he didn't give up and how she was so stupid to not say yes right away

Anyway, any success stories?

Depends how she was with him during those periods when he chased. I'm guessing they were very much still in touch, even close friends, so in many ways, that door was always open. It was probably clear that she was interested and never really pushed him away totally, so his actions could be seen as more persistence rather than chasing.

Chasing happens when the other person is running away (hence the chase) rather than still in front of the interested party. In that case, I definitely believe that chasing someone who clearly doesn't want to be caught will only push them further away. But to be fair, if they've already made it clear that they're not interested, then they're as far away as they're ever going to get.

I've chased in the past and occasionally seen myself nearly doing it a few times since then. For me there comes a point where you realise that your interest is moving from persistence to chasing and you have to back away. Plus, if someone is really interested (like your friends girl) then there's no way they would let you go totally away, so it would always be clear that they want to be caught. That's my take on it.
