Ok, maybe I'm a dinosaur, but here goes...

In this day/age, when you meet someone - do you exchange telephone numbers or social media info (i.e. Facebook)?

I mean, I'm not adding someone I just met to my Facebook as a friend. I wouldn't even add someone I'm dating unless we were serious. I mean, it's hard for me to even give out my tel unless I'm really into the person cuz I've gotten burned from giving my tel to someone before a first date and ended up getting nasty texts, calls, etc. Geesh, one guy stalked me on AOL years ago. He'd follow me on chats and act like he was interested, and after I'd send my pics would start insulting me and then I figured out it was a dude I went out on a date with.

Am I behind the times in my thinking? I more than likely am not going to change how I go about meeting people, but am curious as to other's experiences.

I would give out my tel. I don't want to be social media friends with someone I just met (or haven't met) because I don't really want them going through my holiday snaps from 5 years ago and reading my drunken rants.
