Branway Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I'm wondering what your opinion on this is "I'm not looking for a relationship but I don't want you to talk to anyone" after a breakup.
Steven1 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 That they don't want to be with you but they also don't want you to be with anyone else so you will be a fallback option. 4

They also would hate to dump you and then see you move on faster than they do. The ones who say things like the above are getting ready to string you along for a while until they find someone else. He or she might come back for sex or 'friendly catchups' in order to keep you hanging on for as long as possible or until they are ready to let you move on (once they have someone else secured). Basically they want to see other people but want to make sure you don't. Complete NC is the only way to go! Edited April 1, 2016 by 266696687
SoThatHappened Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 It means you're one of two or many other options. It means the person saying it is into you just enough to keep you on a leash. It means you should walk away with class, dignity, and on the immediate path to finding someone else.
smudge21 Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 "I want you to continue to stroke and feed my ego, and also live in sadness without me, whilst I go and sleep with other people and live my life to the fullest knowing that there's some love sick puppy hanging onto my every word"... erm.. nope!
