I need some advice...

Guys,

If a guy really likes you do you think he could be scared of you? I mean if his heart has been broken in the past, but then he realizes he is begining to have feelings for you but backs off because he is scared from getting hurt.

could this happen? if so, how can i reassure if that i am really in to him and that he doesn't need to be scared??

What he may be 'scared' of is not the strength of his feelings for you, but the weakness of them. That's generally what people mean when they say they are 'scared'. They are 'scared' of hurting you, not you hurting them. I find that people aren't so 'scared' when they meet someone that they are really into and have no doubts about.

The best way to handle 'scared' is to give the guy nothing to be scared about. Tell him you understand and that you will give him the space he needs. Lots of it. Then... go out and do your own thing. Go out with your friends, go on some friendly dates. What he is 'scared' of is the pressure he might feel to have feelings for you he isn't sure he has yet. So, remove that pressure - and he's less likely to be 'scared'. Let him come to you on his own terms.

If he keeps backing off every time you step forward - just tell him that now you are scared: scared of your heart being crushed under his wishy-washy behavior, and that you just don't think its going to work out.

LucreziaBorgia,

i don't doubt his feelings for me. i know he really likes me because when we are together everything is great. i see it in his eyes, and his smile. but it's when i am not there...he is nice to me on the phone but distant. like he wants to talk but doesn't know what to say...

No sex is involved just us having some fun (sex after marriage is what i believe)...he spends so much money on me and caters to all my needs..it's what i want.

i don't know maybe he is a commitment phobe or he is scared of getting too attached...i can't pin-point it. i need your help/advice please....
