My girlfriend and I have been together for just a little bit over a year now. Everything use to be great we use to laugh together all the time it was amazing. But recently we have hit a bit of a rough patch and I am pretty torn on what to do. I feel like I am under appreciated and taken for granted she flips [out] about everything.

Example being that i dirtied 2 glasses instead of reusing the same one. Small [stuff] like that and its driving me nuts I want to leave her because of those anger issues but then its good and I rethink.

I need some advice here because I am really torn im starting to lose attraction to her because of this. I try to talk to her about it but she gets super defensive and goes off the handle and tries to say that its my fault [].

You really shouldn't put up with being abused like this. She has created a toxic environment. You owe it to yourself to put your foot down and leave.

OK, first off, no one deserves to be treated like that. She's not your mother and she's not in charge of the house. Now we all have our little pet peeves and to be good partners, we should try to do or not do the few things that drive our partners crazy. But that being said, she shouldn't be flying off the handle about it.

Now, when you've talked to her, how did you approach the conversation. Trust me when I tell you that with conversations like these, it's all in the approach. If you just go straight to the point, like "Why do you get so pissed off when I...?", you're going to put her on the defense. you want to make "I" statements instead of "you" statements. Try something like "I feel like you're treating me like a child when you get so angry about me not reusing a glass." You may even want to go one further and ask her if there's been something bothering her. She'll ask you why. The tell her that you've noticed that she seems to be getting angry much easier and you were wondering if there's an underlying reason for it.

If none of this works, then I'd say find someone that treats you better.
