Philosopher Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 I think you did the right thing in not responding. The ball is in her court, if she still wants to meet up with you, she will send you a text with an alternative date. Since in her cancellation text, she did not offer an alternative day of when to meet, then it is likely that she is not interested. If she was keen she would have rescheduled the date. So I would not get your hopes up for a second date. Um...maybe u should try & give it once last chance to reschedule & see what she does. If she gets flakey some more then drop her. From my experience sending texts asking them to reschedule are almost always met by silence. 1
dumbass2 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 No response is absolutely appropriate in this case. The only acceptable way in my book to cancel a first date is to offer up another day and time. If that doesn't happen, the person had second thoughts about the date and is not interested or just has poor manners. Having good manners is something of high importance to me. 2
