Read message but no response?

I was trying to find a friend on facebook, but i noticed this hot girl so I thought I'd message her. She responded and we started chatting. I then just sent another standard message and now she's just not responded. Is it worth leaving it till 4-5 days and try and talk to her again?

I find it really creepy when strangers message me on facebook. Not the appropriate venue to hit on a stranger in my opinion.
