Do whatever you want to. There are no rules about phone calls, despite what some silly people will insist upon. No rules exist for phone calls. You don't have to wait for him to call you, or wait a certain amount of time. If you want to talk to him, call him. If you want to wait and see what happens, then wait to see if he will call you. Don't overcomplicate such a simple situation.
