jjsamuel Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 So I met this girl through OLD and she's great, only known her a week but she has so many of the characteristics I've never been able to find. Problem is she's going on a three week vacation and then moving 9 hrs. away by car after that. I really want to see where this goes and she seems into me but she went into this not looking for anything serious according to her profile. Question is how do I prepare myself for her leaving? Do I ask her if we can try to continue developing a relationship in the off chance she agrees? Or do I just let it fade off into the distance and save myself the grief?

d0nnivain Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Do you want an LDR? Does she? 9 hours is pretty far to sustain on such a new, relatively weak foundation. You two barely know each other. Do you have any desire to move where's she's going? maybe not now, but in a year or two? If not, don't even bother trying to keep this fledgling relationship alive once she moves because there is no end. Enjoy the time you have now but understand it will end when she moves.
