Does she wear an engagement ring?

Do you know any friends of hers - ask them

I checked today and she apparently she doesn't wear any ring.

I actually didn't initiate the conversation with her, she did on 3 occasions.

If you are interested, ask her out. She'll either tell you she's engaged, decline, or take you up on your offer. She has initiated 3 conversations and you're pinning your assumptions on a FB status that doesn't belong to her.

This girl is in my class, since day one I had noticed her looking at me. Recently I happened to sit close to her and she started talking to me pretending having questions related to the class. This happened twice. I got her name and wanting to test the waters I looked her up on facebook, found her and saw her listed as "single". After looking at a guy that consistently "likes" her posts I saw that that same guy has pictures with her and is listed as "engaged" obviously with the girl in my class.

Now I'm really confused, why would someone be listed as single and apparently engaged to someone, or vice versa?

As disclaimer for all those who will be tempted to say "duh, no one cares about fb, just ask her" I don't think fb is important but it is important for many people nowadays and is primordial part of social interaction.

I think you're focusing too much on facebook and she isn't.

Either way, don't read into her sitting by you or talking to you, she's not interested so don't go getting your hopes up if that is what you're thinking.
