A male friend, let's call him Trent, and I were talking. He told me that he was introduced to this girl by a very good friend of his. This girl that he was introduced to lets call her, Mandy. Well, Trent went out on a date with Mandy and he found from his friend that introduced him to Mandy that Mandy was interested in him, too. (Trent did not think that after the first date that Mandy would be interested in him because Mandy is such a good looking lady.) Well, Trent and Mandy talked and went out as just friends. Well, Mandy was supposably having financial problems so since Trent is such the nice guy that he is, he loaned her money. And we are talking money has in the hundreds. Well, Trent and Mandy decided to go out on a date one night just a friends and Mandy ended up dragging him to a bar. (Trent does not drink anymore and has already been though that stage in life and just wants to settle down. Plus, even if he wanted to drink, he could not drink because of the meds that he is on. Mandy is also on meds where she should not be drinking ethier.) Well, Trent refused to drink. Later on sometime, I can't remember if it was that night or another day, Mandy basically told Trent that nothing was going to happen between them except for friendship. Mandy basically told him that she wanted someone that would party with her and drink. Mandy also basically told him that she took him to the bar to TEST him to see if he would give in and drink. Well, needless to say Trent hasn't seen any of his money back yet. And I found something interesting out the other night. I was talking with a girl whom works with Mandy. I found out that Mandy makes $18.00 an hour. Poor Trent only was bringing in like $8 to $9 dollars an hour home and helping her by lending her hundreds of dollars.

HOW LOW CAN SOMEONE STOOP!

Sorry, everyone, I just needed to vent about this. It makes me so MAD!

Evidently, this Mandy was just drinking her money away.

I'd say Trent is the one who needs a slap upside the head here. Who in their right mind lends hundreds $ to someone they just met?

Trent was introduced to her by a very good friend and I am assuming that he thought his good friend had checked this girl out enough to make sure that she would not take him for a ride. Trent is the kind of person that would take his shirt off his back for a total stranger.

Well,...anyone to whom drinking is SOO important has a problem anyway. Hes better off without her. Partying is just too important and one day will get her in alot of trouble.

She told Trent that she was having financial problems. "I" say supposably because with her making $18.00 an hour unless she was in some extreme debt or was just wild with spending her money on drinks or something else then she should not have had financial problems. In our area of the US, if you make $18.00 an hour, you are doing great!

She was making fun of you. The word is supposedly.

If Trent felt good about sacrificing for a stranger, he would feel like he got some value for giving her that money (I think it's safe to say she's not going to repay it). You feel bad for the guy, but hopefully he learned a valuable lesson about being too eager to please a woman.

As far as the girl, from your (presumably biased) story, she sounds like a waste of life. If the price he had to pay to have her out of his life was a few hundred dollars, it was money well spent.

We live in a very rural area. Most of the big cities are like at least 45 mins to an hour away from us. We live in the northeastern states.

I understand now that she was just teasing me about my spelling. That's cool with me.

At first I thought she was just confused about my statement. Sorry, if I seemed a little short, I didn't mean to be.

Please recommend "No More Mr. Nice Guy" for Trent to read.

He needs to learn how to not let women walk all over him.

Mandy will be visited by Karma one day.

I didn't think you were being mean, but teasing him. No big deal. Would anybody like to discuss the topic posed in the thread?
