beachlover966 Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I am currently talking to a guy that I have feelings for. He told me a few months ago that he doesn't want a relationship as of right now. We have been talking for over a year. I am a 20 year old woman and I haven't been in a relationship before. I want to be in a relationship and settle for someone that comes along because I'm most people my age are already in relationships and I feel like I'm missing out. Should I settle for him at my age or keep looking?
JustGettingBy Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 You've outright said he doesn't want a relationship, what would you be settling for?
RJ2000 Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 You're 20! Plenty of time to find someone else. Get on Tinder, Bumble et al and find a bunch of dudes to talk to in a day. If you start talking to more than one guy it doesn't mean you have to date them all, but it does a lot for your confidence and you'll become less emotionally invested in the one you posted about. You might also, of course, meet someone who is a better fit for what you want.

Should I settle for him at my age or keep looking? If you are looking for a relationship and the guy doesn't, it doesn't matter if you're 20 or 100, you don't settle. That being said, the guy doesn't want a relationship, so what you'll be settling for is being an FB or an FWB for as long as he decides to stick with it. If that's going to be fun for you, fine, but don't let yourself get invested in him emotionally . . .
