aw that is sweet!

The funny part was when my g-pa and his new wife visited, one landed on the window where we were eating! We joked (when they left) that it was our g-ma checking her out! lol

So the creator of all of this, the entire universe and all the millions of life forms that populate it, is unable to save the life of an innocent newborn baby? Faith and prayers are enough to mend a broken ankle, but just don't cut it when an innocent's life is at stake? What is the charge for that kind of miracle? Should I have offered a burnt sacrifice of Ram on an altar up on a hilltop?

I'd "be the blood of a Lazarus heart" (Sting) to have my mother back again, though mine is a poor comparison to your loss. Yet these events that have been set into motion are overshadowed by our response to them. EC's brother was a skeptic who seems have had his eyes opened by act of prayer healing; you are a believer whose faith is being sorely tested by a God you trusted; I'm trying my best to put my trust into Him that all will be well even though I hate that I've lost what I've loved most about my life. However the lesson isn't in our losses, but rather in how we respond to the crises we've been given.

God is there, especially through the worst of it, but it's us who are capable of turning away, not Him ... I wish I could give an answer on why it was your family who suffered this, and what you're supposed to learn, but that's something only you will be able to discern. In the meantime, I hope we are of some help.

lo siento, devildog, lo siento ...

I know God exists.. just because of the peace He gives me when I'm going through tough situations. I can't imagine not knowing Him or praying to Him... I would be lost.
