I always do this to myself too...I struggle with it first few days hoping to get answers or some resolution and of course I never do. Because of what he did, there is no chance of reconciliation. I told him several months ago what my ex did and how I don't like it. Well he did same thing, so if he had any thought of coming back (he walked out) he is sadly mistaken.

Anyways, how do you stay NC? I think I said all I need to say, so now I just need to not message him out of habit or loneliness.

You delete & block all his contact info. Unless you know his # or e-mail by heart you can't contact him without it.

Then when you feel the urge reach out, you find a substitute: you call a friend, you go for a walk, you post here. You do anything other than contact him.

yeah I'm going to have to, or I will never move on. He thinks he is punishing me/teaching me a lesson but he can't just go around destroying people's lives, so he will never be allowed back into my household.

It was over a fight that he didn't like and with no warning he packed and left. I was shocked to be honest, because it's not normal behavior, it's like a child having a tantrum.
