Marshbear Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 I think they are pretty much prostitution. I guess they are legal because they disguise the sex under the escort date. Never used one. I think they are expensive and I don't believe in prostitution.

aviva_dawn Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 During the last two months of my senior year in High School, I had a business where I got paid to accompany people to events, about 95% of my clients wanted me to go to the Prom with them...... they were too scared to ask anyone and/or didn't have anyone in mind to go with them. So they would call and I'd go with them for $50.00 plus the cost of the Prom Ticket. Nothing sexual was involved and I made a decent amount of money for college expenses. Do I consider what I did being an Escort? Yes. But in the actual sense of the word.....an escort is a person who accompanies a person to a place. So that is why I considered my business an "Escort Service". However, I haven't heard of anyone else doing what I did. I agree with the consensus, the vast majority of escorts are what we would call prostitutes.
