Teknoe Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 On a dating website I got in touch with a girl that liked me back. We agreed through the site to meet up. I gave her my cell hoping she would give me hers. She didn't, so we're left to communicating strictly through this site. Should I ask her directly for her number, or let it play out (i.e. act cool) on the dating site and just message her through there until the meet up? The date is for March 20 as well. She and I are both tied up this weekend, so that's a long time between now and then and I'm a little afraid of the communication fizzle. I rather not ask her a string of questions on the dating site but if I don't, March 20 is a long way away. I'd just feel more secure if I had her number. It would allow me to text her, send her pictures of my day, or possibly even call (though likely I wouldn't unless I had to, lol). Kinda "scared" since her profile could be taken down, or maybe she just disappears. But I try to reassure myself if she truly is interested in me, and meeting me, then it's a "lock" in the bag and I shouldn't overthink this too much. And if it doesn't work out, then perhaps that was going to happen regardless of any action I take between now and March 20. If it's a "soft like" then maybe I'm getting worked up over nothing here. Anyway, I'm just used to asking online girls out that I know show interest in me and they usually give me their cell after I give mine. I never have to ask for it. Thoughts in general? If she gave you her cell and you started texting her how your day was it may be weird for her as you haven't even met. I think best not bringing up the date online to her at the moment as this might come across also being weird. Just chat online a bit through site and about a week out just mention and lock in the date. If she is interested she will oblige but don't over chase here and look needy. Good Luck

Just messed a great opportunity with I woman who I really like. All from not listening and getting to serious to quick. Love and relationships don't happen overnight...time is everything.
