Bobbi7 Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Not sure if this guy is playing dumb or really has no idea that we met up and texted/talked on the phone like 2 years ago...I recognize him because he still has the same profile picture, since I signed back up on OLD-of course I changed my profile pictures to new ones. So, I just decided to message him back and now he's asking what my name is and what I do for a living..This is really odd. I'm just going along with it. And this happened before with a different guy-only the last time it was more recent like 5 months after-a guy that I met up with for drinks-even talked/texted on the phone messaged me-also has no clue that we met up before, until I told him that we had met up before. Well, he never bothered to contact me again. I usually change profile pictures, but surely they must recognize my face!
TXGuy Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 This doesn't surprise me very much. I could certainly see this happening if the previous relationship was 5 dates or less. Women can change their look much more than men (hair, make-up, fashion). This would be particularly believable if the guy was a prolific (OLD or otherwise) dater.

This frankly is what OLD has reduced us all to, almost faceless commodity items. I’ve seen numerous entries here where dudes have messaged dozens and dozens of women randomly and when you get in the habit of just seeing a pic and responding without actually trying to figure out who they are OLD pics just run together. While I am currently not on any site at the moment where I live there are numerous women on multiple sites but with different OLD profile pics but I would definitely recognize them.

Your picker is still way off and you are still addicted to drama. It is possible that he is a player. It is also possible he does not have much of a game. And him still searching two years later for a girlfriend indicates that. If bobbi was the dumper and he was the dumpee it can be him trying again because he likes her. Guessing he remembers how he kept putting his foot in his mouth on the coffee date. So now he knows not to make those mistakes again. So he hopes maybe he gets to do the coffee again and this time gets to take her to dinner, a real date. Problem is if he gets another shot at her he never fails to shoot himself in the foot by finding new to him dating errors. Also the older we get the harder it is to remember faces. So maybe he did forget he struck out the last time. Keep us posted.
