Due to either an ex or someone you had feelings for who told you to go "jump in a lake", have you ever 'blacklisted' that name for your children or future children?

Not quite the same thing, but I had friends who were both teachers. They had an awful time naming their kids because one or the other would have had a student they couldn't stand with the name!

Yes kind it was on my mind for a while, but did not end up being an issue.

I could never name my kid after an ex..

Names are quite a personal thing, you hear a name an you immediately see a person, their name is them, and visa versa. I would struggle to name my kid after anyone, even someone I liked, because I'd want them to have there own name, with room to become their own person.

I honoured someone important to me in my sons middle name, but giving him his first name would have felt odd.

But hey, I named my son after a famous tree so what do I know, haha ;)

My sons are named after someone but my daughter is not.

But the name she got was the number one name given to girls in America that year.

Yes! My ex fiancé' name was on my list but I would definitely never name my kid after him.

I loathe some names.

The vileness of some people with those names has just left them sour in my mouth.

I get over it with friends and family etc with the same names but for my kids? No way. Not happening.
