jdubinva Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 I've been talking to this gal for a week or so and we really seem to have connected on the phone. Last night it got a little carried away and we basically had phone sex. We're supposed to meet tonight for dinner - first meeting - and I feel a little strange about the whole thing. How do you step back and start initially dating after something like that? What are the expectations? This whole thing has me baffled.

Show up, be a gentleman, and carry on with your plan of meeting someone compatible as if this didn't happen.
hippychick3 Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 You will be starting from scratch when you meet up. I've been in that position before, and it was a bit awkward at first. As much as you talked before meeting, it will be totally different when you actually meet in person. It will feel strange sexting after you meet because in reality...who does that after a first date if there wasn't actually sex?? lol. It was easier when you hadn't met yet. She will expect the same as she would if you hadn't been sexting just with a little bit more familiarity. Try to read her so you won't come on too strong.
Author jdubinva Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 She jokingly texted me this morning and said she was mortified by what happened. She sure didn't seem that way at the time Anyway, she's actually said it was an icebreaker since and I'm going with that feeling. Quite a way to start possibly dating someone though.

Who knows maybe it will be a fun story to remember when you celebrate your 1 year dating Update us after the date !! 1
Author jdubinva Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 I will update. Hopefully I'll get over my nerves before the date. We did facetime (clean) and flipped a coin on where we would go. She looked like the person on her profile and maybe even better but wow things just started rolling on the phone.
preraph Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Don't worry. She'll seem completely different than what you imagined when you meet up anyway, and so will you to her. It's starting all over, if there's anything there. 1
