She came to visit me the last time for a weekend and we did nothing special.

Was going to respond about Nantucket.

 

I already have a summer home at the beach. It spends a portion of the summer in Nantucket too! :D Also Newport, Block Island, Martha's Vineyard, Cutty Hunk, the Hamptons and Acacia National Park.

 

There is no better summer home than the one I already have. Because it's also a winter home in Florida.

Maybe I wasn't clear. I've paid for her travel each time. She's not very well off. If i make a lot more than someone I'm hanging out with, I pay.

 

If I were dating Marissa Mayer or Sheryl Sandberg, she's paying.

 

It's called being fair and having compassion for people. It's called not being a dbag and making someone pay for dates they aren't able to afford.

A friends fiancé (shortly after getting engaged) wanted to surprise my friend with a birthday party. She only told him they were going to Vegas. But she paid round trip air from SFO to Mccaran+ hotel for 15 or so people to be there to surprise him on his birthday. She made pretty good money though and her family was well off to begin with.

 

I wouldn't pay for something like that, just saying I guess it depends on what you think a big deal is or how special the occasion and motivated you are to make it fun.

 

Precisely my view.

 

This week is a big deal to me. It's my huge week of fun for the year. Where I let go of everything and just have fun.

 

It's very important to me, so I want to have great, fun company for it. This girl is sooo much fun. She adds to the fun. Always a good time with her. So, I invited her. There were plenty of other options, but she seems like the best, so she's invited.

I'm sure. Didn't happen the other 2 times. In fact, she was very affectionate and didn't leave my side for a second either of the other times. Didn't even glance at other dudes let alone talk to any.
