risjurad Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Much like looking for actual jobs, I enjoy having the job. The job search is hardly ever pleasant. When trying to date someone, every time I meet a cute girl and/or someone I think we may hit off with each other, I need to check her hands for engagement/wedding rings. If in a place like the gym, those won't be available, so I'd need subtly ask if she has a bf/married. I need to plan how I'm going to see her (personal circumstance since I'm in a remote, small town)... I suppose part of it would be much better if I was better at talking to women. But this basically turns any meetup, trip, actvitity, vacation, whatever into a... well, "job search".

Author risjurad Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 Are your parents not supposed to pick out a wife for you? Probably doesn't help that they had an arranged marriage :\
Emilia Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 It doesn't help if culturally you don't socialise with women. It's much easier if you meet girls just socially, some you befriend for no reason rather than look at every case of talking to a woman as a marriage opportunity.
Michelle ma Belle Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Sometimes it certainly feels like work :/
normal person Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Finding someone is the work, enjoying their company is the paycheck. You've got to put the work in. You're making it much harder on yourself by living in a small, remote town -- that makes merely encountering a suitable woman a task itself.
