He texted me calling me beautiful. I texted him and said, "I love your smile." I haven't heard back from him since. Was my compliment inappropriate?

spriggan2 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Online dating in general I've found to be ephemeral, impersonal and unreliable, the consequence of how quick and easy it is to get dates. Like fast food. You don't want to dwell on reasons why your latest match suddenly evaporates. The possibilities are endless. Had a girl who was super into me, texting me everyday, suddenly stop responding mid conversation and I never heard from her again. That being said, don't know how many guys are going to be psyched about a girl who's scrutinizing them as husband material right from the start. What about less pressure? Maybe be clear about what you don't want (meaningless hookups etc) and hold off on "the one" talk until later. 1
