marklewis7887
I have read on other forums where some people say guys should not use smiley faces in texts It makes it seem cheesy and somewhat clingy They basically guys should not use smiley faces, sad faces, a wink, a heart, or a awwww Is it a turn off? If I'm in a relationship with a girla nd she texts me randomly and says "I was thinking about you, and it put a smile on your face" I would reply with something like "aww that's a great thing to hear" I mean is "awww" that bad? So any opinion on guys using those certain things?
bu2002
I would reciprocate her behavior. If she's the type to use smiley faces or emojis, then I would connect with her that way. If she doesn't use it, then I would lay off of it.
carhill
Yeah, I rarely use them but a couple ladies I text occasionally do so we kind of switch off with the blowing kiss emoji and ILY text. My default has always been straight text.
GR4
I very rarely use them myself to be honest. Some people go mad with it and texts are full of ridiculous faces and symbols, half of which I can't even make out. Maybe I'm just getting old. My texts with women are short and sweet and to the point, verging on blunt. I don't like texting girls, I'd rather use the phone as a means to see them in person.
ThisisIt606
My bf and I will mainly use emojis just to be funny/illustrate a point. Or use a or the zzz face when saying goodnight.
Jabron1
This is another one of those things that are advised as a 'safe rule' to men. If you want to play it safe, then I agree to stay away from using emojis. I think a sparing use of them is fine. However, I would reply with something like "aww that's a great thing to hear" I would not say that in a million years, but that's just me. Too girly. I'd have probably responded by twisting what she said into something silly. Her - I was thinking about you, and it put a smile on your face Me - That's very presumptive of you . Actually, I was smiling because I was thinking about this funny picture I saw of a cat that looked like Hitler http://img.thesun.co.uk/aidemitlum/archive/01282/SNN3135HIT---682_1282907a.jpg
