I mean, I'm sure it must be hard for anyone to know when to back off on things like FB, and through texting. But for me it is really difficult. There's this friend of mine (Who I like, but, that's a story in another thread), and I don't know when to stop talking to her. It's like I have no sense of alarm in my mind or something. |

I guess what I am trying to say is, I don't want to lose her as a friend (I am a very loyal person to everyone, not just her), and I want to know how to go about not being so attached, and to not be so dependent on Social media in general.

Thanks in advance.

How about when she doesn't respond, you stop.

Let her reach out to you.

I usually have a rule, wait for someone to respond to you then respond back.

But, it's always when I am anxious about something. Like today for example.

There are several friends I have who prefer to communicate by text. Even my old roommate. I personally hate texting, because talking is so much faster, but people think way too much of interactions these days.

You would be better off scheduling hangouts with these people. Be there more. Text less. Then you'll learn to know.

There were times where I simply wouldn't respond to my friends' texts. I don't like to type with two thumbs all day. It's inefficient. Even if you're a hot girl.

My friends STILL ask me, "Are you upset with me?" after I don't reply. I hate that so much.
