I am a man, 30, and the girl is 27. We met two times.

Probably good restaurants are all booked now.

What other option do I have now? My place? Hotel? Many hotel rooms are still available but would it be usually ok to ask her out to hotel?

I wouldn't ask her to a hotel unless you are at that stage in your relationship.

The guy I am dating asked me out to brunch, then we are going bowling and will possibly end up back at his place for a movie. We are a little further along than you (over 5 dates) but I thought that was the perfect plan for where we are in our dating relationship. I don't like restaurants for Valentine's Day dinner anyway, it's always overpriced and crappy prix fixe menus.

After two dates, I doubt she's thinking that you will be "celebrating" Valentine's Day with her, you two aren't Valentine's yet. I personally don't put a lot of stock in Valentine's Day. I don't want anyone to adhere to some perfunctory ritual.

The word Valentine is derived from the Roman word valentinus which was itself from the name Valens meaning "strong, vigourous, healthy"

You don't have that kind of a relationship yet anyway. If you're going to do something for Valentine's Day for her, don't invite her or imply you want sex, ask her to go for a drive that day. Stop at some out of the way place for lunch and give her a flower or candy or something if you like her that much already.
