There is this girl I like in school and she knows I like her so I think she likes me back. She is shy and she looks at me and vice versa but she looks away when u catch her so she must not like eye contact. She sits in front of me in a lesson and she looks behind at me and I simply don't know where to look so I just looks around then looks at and that's when she looks back, when someone else speaks she look at them but the comer of her eye she looks looks at me.

When ever I'm walking a she happens to be in front she quickly looks back at me but she does not do this to other people. She sometimes tidies her hair around me and just happen be somewhere when I lm there. I can tell when she becomes nervous. She becomes very shy when she's not with friends and completely different when they are there, they always just happen to be smiling of laughing when I look. Does she like me?

And how can a 13 year old like me start talking to her with out being weird or needy? She has an Instagram account which is private and we both follow people from our year group so should I request to follow her ? If she accepts should I DM her?

Thanks

Try for an inperson friendship before you move to social media. Although social media was created to bring people together, it actually has an isolating effect. It allows people to stay safe in their homes & cubes without risking true interpersonal interaction. You need to get out there.

Start small. Say hi. Ask her Qs about the lesson. Mention something about a current event in your school , , ,the lunch menu, how a sports team did etc.

For what it's worth, everybody is awkward & weird at 13. But if you have the courage to move forward anyway, you are ahead of the game.

Good luck.
