Now it is possible that due to the lack of connection resources people were forced to become more self reflective and stick out relationships. So maybe they were more reflective, but only due to the fact they lived in a "smaller world." Well I actually doubt people where more reflective back then. I do believe thought that new media has effects on people their patience in some instances versus gratification.
