amberjadej Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) At first I felt just devastated 24/7; constantly on the verge of tears. But now I have short moments of hope in between. Usually only lasting a few minutes, but still. They're just little moments of that things will be ok and I can get my life back on track. I am still having a significant amount of feeling like I can't do this and like I can't just forget him, but I am having moments of hopefulness even if they're only for a couple minutes. It's only been 4 days since the breakup but I thought maybe that was a positive sign. Edited January 27, 2016 by amberjadej
K2z Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 You posted in a separate forum about Xanax, right? I think the Xanax is helping you get leverage, but realize you are using a powerful tool that cannot become permanent. Congratulations on seeing sunlight just days into the breakup. For many, myself included, it takes nearly a year just to emerge from total darkness. 1
Bantosm Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Yes those are positive signs. Even feeling numb is positive sign because it gives you brain time to relax while your emotions catch up.
