So there is this guy and we both like each other. We live about 4 hour from each other. He has suggested that if I ever wanted to stay with him I could and that he has an extra bedroom. I have a interview in a few weeks near him and wanted to hangout/stay the weekend with him, but don t know how to go about this? I feel awkward asking and he might too because I have turned him down every other time..?

How many times have you already spent in each other's company, face to face? How long have you known this guy? Where did you meet him?

I have known him since last summer and we met through a friend. I was with him a few weeks ago and he suggested if I ever wanted to stay in his extra bedroom I could. He asked about a specific weekend, but It did not work for me. Now I have one that works because of my interview, but feel awkward inviting myself?

How about...

"I have an interview coming up... just wondering if that invite is still open?"

He invited you already so you're not inviting yourself.

Just tell him you'd be interested in accepting his offer to stay over.

Depends on whether the invite is just that, or an attempt to get into your pants.

Surely you can tell?

I say don't ask if you can stay at his place when you're in town on business.

The only reason I say this is if you are not yet at a place in your relating with him where you can feel comfortable broaching this (any?) subject,

you have no business feeling comfortable enough to be alone in his home, in his town, with him just down the hall from you, alone together for the night.

Personally, if I was considering staying at his place, I would have not hesitated to contact him and say, "Offer still good? I'm gonna be in town!!!" The worst he could say is, "Sorry, no..." OR it could have been bad timing for him, just like it was for you, previously.

Good luck with your decision, OP...

Tell him that you'll be in his neck of the woods, and ask him if he's free that weekend. He might have other plans.
