buggyb Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 He left me for another girl, his ex who was newly divorced and had reached out to him after 4 years of not speaking to him. We'd been together for 2 years. I had moved to his city to be closer to him, since we'd started talking marriage, moving in together and our future. When he told me why he was leaving me I was crushed and humiliated and confused. We both cried and hugged goodbye. I never spoke to him again, neither of us contacted each other. One week later I got the call that changed my world. My ex, of one week, had died suddenly. I'm crushed. I feel I cannot go on. I saw the girl he left me for plus his exes from his past, at all the services. On top of my crippling grief I felt such awkwardness being in the position I was in. The newly dumped chick sobbing. I've been to counseling, etc. Just looking for anyone to advise. My heart doesn't seem to heal and my mind feels numb. Still love him so much.
Rocci di Persia Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 I'm really sorry this happened to you. It's already agonising enough to work through the pain of being abandoned for an ex. I was also in a relationship of two years and was dumped four months ago for an ex-fiancee. I don't feel equipped to give you advice in this case but please know that you are not alone. Talk to friends, talk to family, talk to strangers. Grieve as much as you need to and forgive. 1
Millwall Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I was dumped by my ex, and she has a terminal illness. I was with her thought her chemo etc and she is now in palative care. I have been in no contact for 24 days and I just want to see how she is. I'm heartbroken

If there was ever a legit reason for breaking NC, this would be it. Even though she dumped you, you were part of life. Who wouldnt want to hear how much you loved them and miss them? You quite literally wont get the chance again.
