Whilst I'm grateful for all the responses, even the somewhat belittling ones, I feel I should update you all and tell you that yesterday she told me she has feelings for me, and that she was just nervous and scared because of her past relationship. We are now moving forward with our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend.

Sorry to disappoint all those who shot me down, and once again thanks to those who gave genuine responses/opinions
