chaos70 Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 I'm wondering if there is some preevent for people (especially women) in their mid 20's? Would like to hear some feedback.
BigB Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 I believe such a phenomena exists. sometimes called the quarter-life crisis. the "oh crap college is over, I'm almost 30, and I'm not married, don't own a house, don't make much money" response. I think I'm having one...
Author chaos70 Posted June 6, 2005 Author Posted June 6, 2005 Well, I guess the difference then is how you go through that crisis right? Plus, I figure the key factor is embracing the crisis and staying with it not getting out of it...or realizing what you need to do to get out of it. Or am I looking at it too much in black and white?

I'm embracing it, to a point. I'm resisting the urges to go on a road trip and the urges to get drunk and forget it all... I'm embracing or at least trying to embrace the urge to do something with my life, get a better job, meet some girls, get out more, figure myself out more, etc.

Hmmm....then I must be having a third-life crisis! 31, divorced, house-less, with not much money. And to add insult to injury, my fertility is headed further down the toilet with each passing year. Gotta love life!

Sometimes to have to tear something apart before you can build something better in it's place. I never thought about the fertility thing, I guess for a lot of girls that's like an added pressure, like getting married and having kids has a deadline you have to meet... I hate deadlines.. I always wait till the last minute.
jen_jen_heartbroken Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Well, that's a good thing for you then... You could be like Tony Randall and have kids when you're 75!
