I got a prescription for contacts a couple of weeks ago but haven't been able to wear them due to allergies and stuff. I opened up the case they're in today and the solution had totally dried out. I put fresh solution in the container and they're soaking now. Will they still be ok to wear or do I need a new pair? Thanks!

After they re-hydrate, they will be good as new. I'd rinse them again though, and replace the solution, because all the salts are still there from the solution that dried up. And you just added more. So they are in double-strength solution now.

What kind of contacts do you have? Daily disposables (the most delicate)? Extended wear? Gas mermeable?

Hard contacts are ok 'cause they are inherently dry when made anyhow. But dailies might shrivel when dried out, causing them to look like little clear cornflakes. Sometimes this can make them crack, rendering them unusable. Sometimes they will also permanently warp out of shape. However, sometimes they can make a perfect recovery, it depends on whether they were moved around a lot when dried out in the case, etc. To be sure, soak them for an hour and then take them to an optician or eye doc before using them just to be sure. You wouldn't want them to scratch your eyes.
