I got into a discussion with friends...apparently she had experienced someone from her social circle assuming the man she's been hanging out with is her boyfriend or someone she's dating.

She posted on FB that, "Why is it when people see you with a member of the opposite sex more than X amount of time, that they think you're dating?"

Now, can you blame people for thinking this? Does the majority of your friends or people you associate with automatically think, "Hey, there's our good friend Sue, I keep seeing her with Ted a lot, they must be dating!" OR they at least assume that your'e FWB.

I never assume..makes an ass and all that...Why waste energy making assumptions?

Men and women can and do very well being platonic friends.

I would not be without my male friends.

I never become friends with the women I want to date, but...I will be friends with women I don't want to date. :-)

It's perfectly normal to assume, because that is how our brains work.
