Luxxbooth Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 A few weeks ago a guy from work messaged me on Facebook randomly and we've been chatting ever since. We've been out for food and to see a film, work night out and for coffee. I really like this guy but he hasn't said he likes me, never tried anything when we've been out and only ever complimented me once. He messages me constantly though but hasn't suggested meeting up since Sunday. People have suggested that maybe he's being more reserved because we work together and he's worried I maybe don't like him? So my question is should I bite the bullet and tell him I fancy/like him/want to hang out again and it so how? Please don't respond saying don't date at work, that's not what I'm asking.
Leucine Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Are you able to handle things with him professionally at the workplace in case it doesn't go as planned? If yes, go for it.
Author Luxxbooth Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 We work in completely different departments on different floors so I don't think it would be too much of a problem
Leucine Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Nothing to lose then, you really like him and have already decided that being work colleagues isn't a problem. I had to call off pursuing a girl I really liked from my work because she kind of left me hanging and gave me mixed interested/not interested signals. We see each other all day everyday from our workstations and in addition she just received a promotion and is now essentially my superior, so I just couldn't afford complicating things any more than they already had been. Now we're back to acting like nothing ever happened and continue to get along well, but if she really was interested then a clear indication that she likes me would have done the trick.
