Tell them "it's my girlfriend and me..." but I split hairs ;D That reminds me of an episode of "the girlfriend's guide to divorce" where one of the characters got into a 3-some relationship with a married couple who eventually wanted to marry her and combine their families.

Easy trick: remove the "my girlfriend and", and see if it makes sense. You wouldn't say "I wondered if you'd like to hang out with I" (unless you're from the West Country). You would instead say "I wondered if you'd like to hang out with me". Plugging the "my girlfriend and" back in doesn't change the personal pronoun; it stays as "me" in this case. Whereas if the sentence were "My girlfriend and I were wondering...", it is correct like that, because without the girlfriend it would just be "I was wondering...", and when you plug the girlfriend back in it doesn't change. Why oh why do people not put effort in? On the contrary, I imagine this guy will have to put in quite a lot of effort to find what he is looking for!! 3

If you write the sentence as if it were just written by (or on behalf of) 1 person he would be saying "Drink, and some 'fun' with me" So kendahke's correction is correct. If he were saying "I was just wondering if you' like a 3some..." then he would correctly say "MY GF and I were wondering if you'd like a 3some...." Look at the sentence with just one protagonist. The 1st person doesn't change when an additional person is added. That said, I still think you should reply with "I'd love to. Name the day, time, venue and occasion....Just to be clear, you know I'm male, right?"

I've looked through the OLD messages of more than one of my female friends. I'll concede that the majority of the messages are short, bad, or sexually forward. However, there were quite a few good ones in there (based on message content) too.

I think men operate on the assumption that amongst all the crap that women receive there are offers from genuine guys who send genuine well thought out messages. As far as I can tell I am one of those guys (I am looking for a relationship, I read the profile and send short messages based on something in the profile)- so they are out there sending messages! Us guys on OLD operate on the basis that we would LOVE to have 1,000's of crap messages to sift through looking for the good ones because to us it beats logging on to an inbox with a lonely tumbleweed blowing about whilst crickets provide a disspiriting soundtrack to the whole experience. Is being totally invisible the worst possible OLD experience to have? At the risk of kicking off a 'we have it worse' argument it is hard to imagine what could be worse than getting no replies, no messages, or even worse no visitors to your profile. I imagine there are women who are in this position but I would be very surprised if the number comes anywhere near the number of guys who, in OLD terms, simply do not exist as far as the other users of the site is concerned. 3

Also, us ladies over 55 would love to have 1,000's of quality messages from actual men in our area of comparable age who were actually interested in us and what we have to offer in a relationship. If they aren't trying to regain their youth/adverting a mid-life crisis by contacting women 10-15 years younger, a lying romance scammer from Ghana or someone just looking for a hole to plug, then the pickings are exceedingly slim to none. OLD works best for people in their 20's and early 30's who can afford their idealism and have the time for that spending of their youth. Once you're over 50, you're a scammer magnet. I refuse to go online for a date anymore.

And then shortly after they sent a second message: "*You're. Sorry." As if if anything was going to put me off, it was going to be the grammar.
