Glitters Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 You must be one of the very few women who look pretty after a work out ! It's a rarity to be hit during gym or just out of it for most women ! All sweaty !!

Haydn Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I prefer Sainsburys or ASDA (our one is posh round here) but what can you do... Tescos was the closest one that sold all three... It was Friday evening and I wanted to get back to my book. Posh Asda? Great for loo rolls.... Buy 58 get another 58 free. But a happy story Toodaloo. 1
introverted1 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Good for you, Toodaloo! I find that the grocery store and Starbucks are very good places for men to approach. I get lots of attention in both. 1
Imajerk17 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 This is awesome @Toodaloo. Guys on this forum reading this thread: This is a *real live reaction* from a woman who was approached. It's actually not uncommon. You have no excuses not to go for it yourselves. 1
Timshel Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Its so much nicer. While waiting we had a 10 minute conversation, started up because it was lotto night and it was great. I felt very comfortable and to be blunt I would have said yes if I were not so interested in Ginge. This guy had lovely manners and a lovely easy way about him. Tall, dark and handsome! Then he made 2 BIG mistakes. 1. He mentioned the condoms - I ignored his comments about them 2. He asked if my boyfriend was black... If he had not done those 2 things (mostly the condom comments, I have no idea where the is your boyfriend black came from...) then he may very well have been going out on a date with me next week! Blanco you really shouldn't pick up women while buying your girlfriend underwear...! Imagining this conversation, in the car park, makes my sides hurt. When can I pack my chaps and come for a visit? 1
Author Toodaloo Posted January 11, 2016 Author Posted January 11, 2016 Posh Asda? Great for loo rolls.... Buy 58 get another 58 free. But a happy story Toodaloo. 58 an another 58 free! With my little fear of running out of loo rolls I am coming to your ASDA! Do they have offers on moisty bum wipes too? I am down to 6 months worth so starting to panic! 1

Shining One Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I love grocery store approaches... although I generally avoid women in gym clothes. Reaching an item off the top shelf is a great "in". I once got a phone number and a date from a woman after she came flying around the corner and smashed into me with her cart. 1
SolG Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Way to go Toodaloo! This thread reminds me of this coffee advert :-D 1
joseb Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Thanks for posting this toddles! It's good to hear some encouragement that women are happy to be approached in these situations. I must admit I've never approached properly (i.e. asked out) anyone in a supermarket. I kinda feel it's off limits, people are there to shop etc. But perhaps I should give it a go. Ps The fact that you were not wearing make-up would be a plus for me. 1
Author Toodaloo Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 Well I am now beginning to think I should have said yes as things with Ginge have taken a down turn... Ho hum. Such is life!

Ps The fact that you were not wearing make-up would be a plus for me. Probably just semantics, but I don't tend to think of it as approaching. I've never been good at cold approaches, but I do chat up women (and men) that I find myself in line with, or are looking at the same products as, etc. It's pretty easy to segue into an invitation to keep chatting over coffee or the like once you've established a base level of rapport. Note that this is not asking for a formal date, just an invitation to keep chatting in the here and now. And although not necessarily the best coffee, there is a Starbuck's within about 2 blocks of everywhere on the planet... ..lol..
