I got asked out in the super market! Hasn't happened for aaaages!

Lovely guy. Gorgeous smile.

If it were not for a guy I have met and want to see more of then I would have said yes yes yes!

Further into discussion I would have sadly said no no no (his reasons for asking me out were suspect) but it was lovely to be asked out!

I wasn't even wearing make up! :D

I am taking it as a compliment.

Thank you handsome man with the sexy smile! You made my day!

He only asked because I was buying condoms and thought he might get lucky...

But apart from that... I see it as a positive!

Actually, Stone Henge wasn't on my list of places to see. I hear you can't get near it, so I'm like "what's the point?" As of now, I'm going to Manchester then down to Oxford, Windsor, London then on to France.

You can't touch them any more as vandals have been slowly destroying them. They are now covered with "Trevor *hearts* Joan" and "GN was 'ere 1956" messages. You can walk round them though. The druids also get full access for both Winter and Summer solstice. Thats a sight I can tell you!

They are also very visible from the road.

You will enjoy Oxford and London.

Although I do not ever want to live there both places are fantastic to visit. Loads to do and see tucked in ever corner, steeped in history and some great night life along all the theatre and museums etc. You will not be bored!

I was in a grocery store and had just come from cross fit. So hair and no make up so it was interesting. He said I had the best smile he had ever seen and that I was gorgeous. I was like who in the right mind would think anyone is attractive after a cross fit work out. Haha

I wish more single guys had the pluck to just talk and say hello and find out IF they might like to ask us out.

It does make you feel good even if you do have to say no for what ever reason.

Such a shame and such a waste of good men!

Its such a shame isn't it.

I was just standing in line, got chatting then he asked me out in the car park.

I really wish more guys would do this. It would be so much easier on us all if more men did this. There we all are on flipping OLD, which we all hate and yet when we are standing next to each other in line to pay for half a dozen apples we can't just say hello? What is that about?

It was a nice conversation (until he showed some not so great traits but ho hum) just about general stuff nothing in particular.

We exchanged compliments and it was a really great exchange.

I don't really enjoy it. It happens to me a fair amount when I feel like I'm making it obvious I don't want to be approached. I mean, I dress like a slob. lol.

If it is approached kindly like just two people talking, that isn't bad. It tends to be obvious, though. I think it's the area I live in.

Seriously, though, I can't say I've ever made the grocery store approach on a woman, but it does usually seem to be one of the more comfortable, low-risk neutral venues to meet and strike up a conversation with someone. Or is it just my imagination?

Like, if I'm in a department store, women usually don't seem quite as approachable, but drop us into a store where we're both trying to find that perfect carton of eggs? Seems totally different.

Woohoo! You must have had a post workout glow!

I may have to start hanging out in my local supermarkets after going to the gym.

Good on you, nice to read about a bit of positivity in the world!!

This, love-starved denizens of LS is how it's done. Talk to anyone/anywhere. And learn how to recognize when someone is interested in you; when they are, ask now, not later. The minute you decide to wait until next time to ask someone out you create an investment imbalance that is difficult to overcome.

Don't be!

Was it as good for you as it was for me!!! :D

You have a lovely smile and superb manners mystery man! You will make some very lucky lady very happy one day ;)

You should.

Its so much nicer. While waiting we had a 10 minute conversation, started up because it was lotto night and it was great. I felt very comfortable and to be blunt I would have said yes if I were not so interested in Ginge. This guy had lovely manners and a lovely easy way about him. Tall, dark and handsome!

Then he made 2 BIG mistakes.

1. He mentioned the condoms - I ignored his comments about them

2. He asked if my boyfriend was black...

If he had not done those 2 things (mostly the condom comments, I have no idea where the is your boyfriend black came from...) then he may very well have been going out on a date with me next week!

Blanco you really shouldn't pick up women while buying your girlfriend underwear...!

I prefer Sainsburys or ASDA (our one is posh round here) but what can you do... Tescos was the closest one that sold all three... It was Friday evening and I wanted to get back to my book.

Grocery stores are funny bc they can be like an arena ....if you pay attention you can sometimes see ppl eyeing you up and maneuvering from isle to isle looking for the right opportunity and the courage lol.

Haha um ....I think you may have just inadvertently told us that your guy is a magnum. Congrats!

I know I was smelly from work but I don't think it was that bad ;) New bras giving a bit more uplift help that wee problem somewhat!

Sorry Jen - Magnum doesn't cut it. Ginge is more of a Nebuchadnezzar kind of guy.

Yes he is that Awesome.

Yes I will probably screw it all up but I am going to enjoy it while I can! :D
