guy93 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 do girls like beards or moustches? one or the other? both at once? or neither?
Xiomn Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Some girls like beards, Some girls don't like beards. Some girls like mustaches, Some girls don't like mustaches. Some like one over the other. Some don't like either. 14
Robratory Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 If you're thinking of growing some facial hair, go for it. Here's a guide. Men's Facial Hair Options, Ranked from Worst to Best - The Bold Italic - San Francisco
loveflower Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I like beard on the man I like. I don't like beard on the man I don't like.
Michelle ma Belle Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I'm a girl who loves a man with facial hair.
smackie9 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Beards are filthy germ factories if they are not wash and maintained properly. ick. 1
Leucine Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 When women say that they like beards, they usually mean tidy and kempt ones. When women say that they don't like beards, they usually mean the overgrown type that many men seem to like to sport. I have never once had a woman complain about my neatly trimmed beard. Quite the opposite.
MoreAmore Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I dislike beards on most men. I strongly prefer clean shaven or scruffy. Why would I want my man's handsome face obscured? Some men do look better with a well-kempt maintained beard. For example, a man with a very weak chin. Most men don't look bad with a well maintained short beard. No one looks good in my personal estimation with those bushy hipster beards that are all the rage. That seems to be something men are cheering other men on for... but, there's someone for everybody. Do what you like and just see where it ends out. I'd say beards are more of a niche market. 1
smackie9 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Beards=hipster dou*&^% lol Beards are ok to look at I guess if they can pull it off (not literally lol), but I would never date someone that had one....dealbreaker.
mike_89 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I think it's got to do with age too. With my beard (more of a stubble really) people easily estimate me 5 years older than I am, while clean-shaven I look a year or 3 younger than I actually am. I think, generally, it's the girls that systematically prefer older guys that prefer their guy to have a beard (be it a stubble or a full grown beard).
RecentChange Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I don't like facial hair when it comes to sex. But do find a well kept beard attractive on some guys. I
PogoStick Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I don't clean shave anymore. I stay from scruffy to short beard, as in I trim 1-2 times per week. A girl I dated long-term about 2 years ago actually approached me, and specifically said it was because she thought the beard was sexy.
Mrin Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I have a full grown assed man beard (see link above). I keep it shorter these days and well trimmed/groomed. I can grow a beard with a hearty sneeze so I used to only sport it Nov - Jan. But now my daughters and girlfriend won't let me shave it off. Seriously. So I've kept it on for the last two years. I also have some cooperative grey hairs in it - only on my chin. So it makes it sort of distinguished looking they tell me. I have had many a hipster ask how I make it look that way (the grey hairs). Ha! Age. 1
LoveRefreshed Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Beards are awesome, Hipsters are indeed, dbags. Best thing about sporting my beard how I like it at all times? Attracting women who like my beard how I like to wear my beard. Awesome how that works out. 1
WhirlwindGuy Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 My girlfriend liked my beard, but hated make out sessions (and other things) with my beard. Her face would be red afterward. She now prefers me without a beard.
GunslingerRoland Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Beards=hipster dou*&^% lol Beards have been around a lot longer than hipsters.... Why do people keep attributing everything to hipsters? Now if you like local beers rather than the big mass produced ones, you're a hipster. If you grow a beard you're a hipster. If you listen to anything but pop music you're a hipster. There is a big wide world of people out there between trendy prepsters and hipsters. It's called normal people. 3
Miss Peach Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Generally not a fan of facial hair. I have dated and had BFs with it though... not a deal breaker. It just doesn't add any attraction for me and I think very few men look as good or better with one.

There is a big wide world of people out there between trendy prepsters and hipsters. It's called normal people. Amen. I'm not entirely sure what a hipster is, but I suspect I've had a beard longer than most of them have been alive. And my wife likes it. Once I inadvertently shaved a swath of it off, so shaved off the whole thing. The kids cried, the darks barked, and my wife couldn't get me to grow it back fast enough. 1
CTRL C Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I like well groomed and tidy looking. That can be with or without facial hair, though I have a preference for the close-trimmed 5 o'clock shadow/slightly scruffy look. Personally not a fan of a "real" beard but it's not my face. I wouldn't cut my hair or change my wardrobe for a guy so I wouldn't expect him to shave a certain way to impress me.
MightyQuinn Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 The majority of women in my social circle don't mind a bit of scruff or a SHORT, neatly trimmed beard. Once they start getting longer or scruffier, different women tend to object to different things (it covers their face, it interferes with kissing, it gets food stuck in it when they're out on a date). I only know one person who truly loves a mountain-man beard, and I'm pretty sure she only likes it because her husband grew it out after they got married. I think full beards that are long enough you can't see any of the skin poking through look dirty and gross, even if they're "maintained." Once the hair gets long enough that it interferes with kissing, my lips are not going anywhere near those lips. The guy I'm dating right now has had either scruff or a short beard, and if he misses a trim, even he doesn't like to kiss me because the hair pokes HIM in the face. Another guy that I used to think was super cute doesn't look cute to me at all since he grew out a Paul Bunyan beard. It makes him look old and tired, even though he's 8 years younger than me.
Michelle ma Belle Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Generally not a fan of facial hair. I have dated and had BFs with it though... not a deal breaker. It just doesn't add any attraction for me and I think very few men look as good or better with one. That's interesting because I happen to think men, any man, looks far more attractive with facial hair. To each their own 1
lino Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Unless you're well entrenched in that trendy hipster scene and have the cash to back it, most women will be turned off by beards. You'll likely be seen as a hobo or terrorist
Shanex Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I am a stubble guy, and I happen to turn heads.
