I for one am not going to educate you in that direction. This is not the place for a young person like you to be seeking information/advice or enlightenment of any kind. 1
Glass Hut Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I did not lose my virginity in high school and have no idea how anyone did either. I was too busy to date and can't imagine how weird it would've been to date someone at my high school. 2
Author tajimamori Posted January 10, 2016 Author Posted January 10, 2016 What part is difficult to understand? I find it difficult to understand how someone in highschool would be able to have the time and space necessary to go through dating let alone losing their virginity. I am in my third year of university right now
xxoo Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I find it difficult to understand how someone in highschool would be able to have the time and space necessary to go through dating let alone losing their virginity. I am in my third year of university right now I had plenty of time to date in both high school and university. I worked, too. A lot of dating time spent together can happen at school and school events. As for space, many working parents leave empty houses. Not a good idea for many reasons, but reality. 1
123321 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 20 minutes in the museum broom closet? Long lunch on the weed covered hill behind the school? Quickie behind the bleachers? The possibilities are almost endless. What I'm concerned with is the plural, virginities. I feel I may have missed something. 2
No_Go Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I guess they don't have set their priorities in life? I haven't even dreamed of dating in high school AND college. When I hear people discussing their 'wild' college experiences I'm always startled, I had no time to go out at all... ASG Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I had plenty of time to date in both high school and university. I worked, too. A lot of dating time spent together can happen at school and school events. As for space, many working parents leave empty houses. Not a good idea for many reasons, but reality. Same!! I had plenty of time to date. And date I did. Not even people I went to school with, as my bfs tended to be a lot older and at university. I guess I don't understand how someone DOESN'T have *time*. I had that to spare! With 3 afternoons free per week, I almost didn't know what to do with myself most of the time. And yes... empty house was the way forward. Or, at one point, dating someone who actually lived on his own. 2
xxoo Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I guess they don't have set their priorities in life? I haven't even dreamed of dating in high school AND college. When I hear people discussing their 'wild' college experiences I'm always startled, I had no time to go out at all... Hmmm...so many different experiences. I know plenty of people who graduated from Ivy Leagues schools and dated in both high school and college. Personally, I think it's a sign of good balance.
ASG Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I don't think I know anyone who claimed "lack of time" for dating either at high school or university. I didn't graduate uni, because I didn't like the course and was already working in the area anyway, but I kept up until the last year when I had a "screw this" attitude towards the course and ended up failing most subjects and deciding I didn't want to carry on. I was working full time though, juggling shift work with classes and class work. And I still had time to date.
bluefeather Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 it takes as much time and space as it would for an adult... ?? 1
xxoo Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 You're talking about dating. That's much different than just having sex. Just sex would take a whole lot less time, I suppose.... But dating in high school took no time, really. We are already doing all the same activities: going to football games, movies, parties, studying for the trig exam. Now we're just doing them together.
mortensorchid Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I knew some who lost it in junior high school (fortunately only one or two), some who did in high school, and everyone else (myself included) in college. Why doesn't the average person do IT before then? Because a majority of those in junior / high school are living with parents / guardians, and those parents / guardians are present. Once you are away from them and their watchful eye, you are free to do what you like and that also includes IT. Personally I think those stories about parents who are so liberal and let their kids have sex in their house are few and far between. Save for one parent I knew who did nothing but scream at her daughter about her bad behaviors, then let he do whatever she wanted anyway (including letting her bfs sleep in her bed with her) because she was weak.
newmoon Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 i don't get it either, and the experience can't be that great. what do two teens even know about sex and pleasuring a partner.

No_Go Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I'm sure it is possible, maybe kind of depends on the major. But while in high school / college, I didn't feel like it is time for me to start a relationship... I didn't have the idea of a partner formed in my head, and I was way to worried about future career steps (picking the right major, college, in my case I had to change countries after college so the right country, grad program / phd advisor etc etc). So I wouldn't be able to be in a real relationship and... I didn't find the though of having sex just for the sex itself very amusing. In my personal experience, the wait was good if we're talking about the sex itself, because by the time I decided to lose my virginity, I knew the nits and bolts of my own sexual responses, and I had a flying start. From a relationship perspective, it was not the smartest decision - I experienced a few mistakes that most people have in their teens in my late 20s, which was awkward. Hmmm...so many different experiences. I know plenty of people who graduated from Ivy Leagues schools and dated in both high school and college. Personally, I think it's a sign of good balance.
bluefeather Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 i don't get it either, and the experience can't be that great. what do two teens even know about sex and pleasuring a partner. That sounds very small-minded. Those same statements could also be applied to many adults, because there are many out there who are still bad at it. And I gave pleasure very well in my youth. 1
KatZee Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Forget high school, I was having conversations with friends who were losing their virginities in JUNIOR high school. I clearly remember a few conversations and this was when I was literally 12, 13 years old. How do people do it? How do they NOT do it? There were so many parties I attended in high school. In empty houses, in the woods. For being teenagers, we were all surprisingly left alone for the majority of the time. I had a party at my house and one girl dragged a guy into my parent's shed and she went down on him. Another couple tried to hook up in my bedroom! Kids went away to band camp, sleep away in cabins for a few days, no parents. Seniors were allowed to leave school to go to lunch--- at someone's house, in a car. There is MORE than enough opportunity for someone to be having sex in high school. 3
smackie9 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I guess times were different in the old days. We were partying at age 13, smokin weed and drinking, bush parties, coke and acid by age 16, lost virginity at 15 to get it over with lol they were some good times. 3
