Toodaloo Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Yes, we like to say it's because of the rubbing motion on the headboard. No that is the solar panel for the under carriage theory...
TheArtist Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 No that is the solar panel for the under carriage theory... I haven't tried that one! Good thinking!
kendahke Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 I rather like bald men, even if they have a side and back patch. Extra points if it's silver/white. I certainly would prefer a bald man to one who wears a rug or does the comb-over, I mean, c'mon now... 2
lilmissjava Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 When I scanned through profiles for OLD, every second or third guy was bald, some were very attractive bald guys and some were not (think Dr. Evil). Guys who are late 30's, early 40's make my search criteria so it isn't that surprising that a lot of guys are in fact bald these days. It leads me to believe that generally, I don't think it matters if a guy is bald or not, it's more of a preference on the ladies side if these guys aren't landing dates with women who prefer a good head of hair on top. 1
DivorcedDad123 Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 I love being bald! I'm sure there's some women that don't like it,there's some that do. Like anything else, everyone has a preference. Didn't slow down any dating that I'm aware of. On the plus side: 1. I save tons on hair care products and time 2. It's cooler in the summertime. 3. I don't have hair sticking to my scalp when I get sweaty. Cons: 1. My head gets cold in the winter. Throw on a 'boggin and go. 2. Sweat from the head just goes into the eyes. 3. Sunburn. Nothing like an onion head peel after getting too much sun and I spend a lot of time outdoors. 4. If you use waffle weave throw pillows, your head will have a waffle weave pattern after laying on it. Maybe that should be on the plus side? 2
truth_seeker Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Everyone loses their hair eventually. It comes down to preferences, personality, chemistry... and there's also plenty of women out there who have a thing for bald men.
loveweary11 Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) My head is 100% shaved, which hides a Prince William leverl of hair loss and also eliminates grey hairs. I used to be the cute, nice pretty boy. Looked a LOT like Freddie Prince JR back in his days of hit movies. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51WTCXR6AXL.jpg Actually, the ex wife and I looked exactly like that pic above when we got married. Now! people call me "Skinny Vin" I look like a smaller Vin Diesel. Once I shaved my head, WAY more women noticed me because it made me stand out and look more edgy. I started being noticeable. Guys also respected me more. A head of hair and cuteness works a little, but not as well as a medium build body fill of muscles, no fat and a shaved head. Never fear shaving your head. It gets you more women, not less. Edited January 7, 2016 by loveweary11
Gold Pile Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Most guys look good bald, some do not. Some guys look good with hair, most don't. Like any other look (beards, hair, etc), some wear it well, some do not. I admit that being bald reduces my chances of dating women at the low end of my preferred dating age range. (18 - 80), but never slowed me down much with the rest. 2
danniel1 Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Been bald for 20 years never had any problem ....keep any remaining hair shaved keep in good shape and embrace it!
Maggie4 Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I don't mind bald, as long as it's naturally bald. To me, the shave is the new comb-over, like the SUV is the new station wagon. If an older guy has male pattern baldness, I would prefer the existing hair be left short, neat, well groomed, not shaved. That's a classy conservative look for older men. For younger men balding prematurely, I don't know.. wear a cowboy hat. I have long suspected the Marlboro man is bald underneath. 1
carhill Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Can't speak for the younger ones but the old guys like Eric Lawson, Andy Armstrong and Robert Larking from my era as a young guy being enticed by smoking commercials appeared to have taken a mostly full head of hair to their graves, as my father did, smoking 1-2 packs a day at least since WW2, so around 40 years. I was the only bald family member around except for, heh, yep genetics, one of my maternal uncles. I was his spittin' image too. The problem was, from my POV, entering peer integration during the hippie era, when long hair and facial hair were in, and I was a bit of a baby face and losing head hair to boot, though mostly after high school. Hair, back then, indicated virility and masculinity. Still does, to an extent.
thefooloftheyear Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 simple.... If you have a chubby face and a double chin, it looks stupid....Think Uncle Fester... If you have chiseled facial features and a muscular neck, it looks good... TFY 3
carhill Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Yeah, you're right, and, looking more like Charlie Brown than Yul Bryner as a young man, it got hammered home pretty good. That's life. I've outlived some of the hammers at this point so there's that, heh. 2
Samhain Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I'm covered in a luxurious layer of fur.. And it's awesome. 1
