Forum,

I'm new here and don't know where to get started or how to convey what i'm feeling, but i'm going to try. I dated the love of my life for the past 3 years. We shared amazing memories together, we would speak for hours and it never got boring or tiring. The conversations were always exciting. After a year of dating we moved in together as well and lived together for 2 years until a month ago. She warned me before that if her parents did not approve of us she would break off the relationship and marry someone else as she cannot disappoint her parents, which is exactly what happened. We come from a culture where marrying out of love is still somewhat taboo.

She is the girl of my dreams, she is whom I need to marry. Now someone else is going to be living the life I deserve and earned! She says she still loves me and has also agreed to meet me one last time before she is married to another man next month.

Recently she has been talking to the person she is supposed to marry and is telling me that she is trying to make that feel as real as possible and that she can't be married to someone else if she didn't do so. The thought of her chatting all night with someone, marrying someone and one day sleeping with someone else makes me sick to my stomach! I WANT THIS NIGHTMARE TO END!

I don't know what to do, I can't live without her. She still loves me too and I know that she cannot be truly happy with anyone else but me, our souls are tied together.

Even if things in her marriage go bad she will be forced to live married to him due to society, as our culture frowns upon divorce so I know once she is married she is gone from me forever! POOF!

I am having sleepless nights and am constantly tormented by the thought of her permanent departure. I can never be happy with any other girl when I know she is the one and only girl for me!

I've done everything to try and make it work, but she says that she cannot disappoint her parents as she is the only child and she needs to do this to to make them happy! I tried to explain that her parents are not the ones getting married and that she has to live with that person for the rest of her life. She is too afraid to even tell her parents that she loves someone else. She would not even attempt it out of fear!

She's cried endlessly too because she cannot have me and is still going through with an arranged marriage with someone else for her parents. This seems like rubbish to me to marry someone for your parents, but that is unfortunately the way our society thinks.

How do I carry on? What do I do? I will never be whole again! FORUM HELP!

Thanks for your help and advice in advance

Clarify why she is "forced to marry" the guy. Is she from an extremely conservative arranged marriage type of culture?

Yes, she is from a very orthodox Indian family where arranged marriage is still prominent and not abiding by it is still viewed as blasphemy in members of her society. My parents are quiet open minded and having a love marriage themselves are open to me doing the same.

Been there bro, there's nothing you can do. It's up to her now, if she is willing to fight her parents for u she will, otherwise there's legit nothing u can do.

My ex used the same reason as to why she broke up with me, only difference in my case was religion as both our families are open to love marriage however her family is still not ok with an interfaith marraige, even though both of us aren't religious.

But u gotta realize this happens a lot and if your ex truly loved you enough she would have logically talked to her parents and made them understand, if you are a good guy and have your **** together for the most part.
