peruano99 Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I have become really good friends with a girl from Australia and we'd like to meet each other soon. Question is would it be a good idea? I discussed it with my parents and they said it is a bad idea, even though I am already in my 20s and don't live with them. I decided to go anyways in a few months and just see what happens. Advice? Thank you.

You won't really know if this girl is dating vs friend material until you physically meet in person. Is there chemistry? Would a relationship be possible long distance? What would you want out of a relationship with her? These are questions to ask yourself after meeting her & seeing where it goes. Best of luck OP

Do you know how hard it is to move to another country? it's not just a matter of marrying. Actually I know couples that have married thinking that would give the other person their citizenship and Surprise! It doesn't. I know when we're young it's hard to think long term but you really have to think about after you meet her, than what.
