Hey all! My girlfriend and I have been together a year today and it's been rough in all aspects since about 4mos ago. However, we chose to stick it out because we truly do love each other but I'm beginning to feel a bit of stupidity on my part. We agreed to start a new relationship, it fell through when she continued her actions of flirtatiousness, disrespect towards me on social media when she's angry, and making comments about other men to her friends and then making an excuse for things or saying she's not wrong because I've been wrong in before as well. I genuinely have never cheated on this women and meant what I said about starting new. Well I broke up with her on the 27th because she wouldn't change things. She contacted me yesterday and apologized, etc. but that quickly turned to argument after I was a bit resistant to her apology because I didn't think it was genuine. Well, lastnight we did not spend New Year's Eve or our anniversary together and on social media she allowed a man to post himself with heart eye emojis on her snapchat, I confronted her, she immediately got defensive and said it was only a friend, however the action was disrespectful and not what I think a women in a relationship should do. I haven't spoken to her after she said that to me and she texted me this morning mad I did not respond, but I don't feel compelled to. I feel disrespected by her, as I have, and the very thing I tell her to improve she says she wants to improve for an hour then is back to doing what she wants. Am I wrong for feeling this way? Should I reply, or should I completely ignore it and move on?

Move on....

This relationship is a dead-end. You got back together on the 27th and 3 days later she's back to her old disrespect.

Start 2016 fresh ! dump the girlfriend and set out to find someone of better quality.

Also 4 months of trouble over a year dating means 33% of your relationship is bad. It's not worth pursuing. Dating is about finding a loving compatible companion. She is not it.

Yeah, sometimes it's a scary decision to let go of the familiar and face the maw of the unknown. Best wishes in your decision. I won't comment on the content other to say that I've loved unhealthy plenty and it's very peaceful to have moved beyond that period of life.
