losangelena Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I would like to: Get more fully over my ex Get back out there Meet someone for good Also in the works, yet not exactly dating-related, a friend of mine and I are plotting and scheming to get a relationship podcast off the ground. Super-psyched for that! 5
PrismOfLove Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Be more proactive.Work on my confidence, realize I'm a great guy with a lot to offer.Work on my social anxiety, try to ask 50 women for their phone number throughout the year.Learn to accept rejection and realize it doesn't matter. Not let my success or lack of success change other parts of my life.Hopefully find a great woman! Tough list for me, but they are goals and it's a new year so why not! 2
No_Go Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 The podcast idea is awesome, hope it happens in 2016! loveweary11 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 To be open minded. To give everyone who crosses my life path a chance and not be so narrowly looks driven. To value character the most. Looking forward to another very adventurous year of bouncing around and meeting people. One will click and my bouncing around will stop/slow. Sure would love to get my boat finished as well. Having a hard time with work/life balance. Trying to give life a higher priority. Means I've done nothing on the boat. 2
sportygirl89 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 My goal in 2016 is to give up on finding someone. Might sound defeatist and negative but I'd rather concentrate on other things. I'm going to try and not talk to women when I'm out and about and steal well clear in general. That way I can't get attached and can't get hurt. Sounds pretty negative. Maybe just don't go out looking for them and don't look at the pub. You won't get hurt then.
GR4 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Sounds pretty negative. Maybe just don't go out looking for them and don't look at the pub. You won't get hurt then. I think it's more rational, myself. Why put myself through it when I get the same results every time? Love isn't everything and some people just won't find it.
oberkeat Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I think it's more rational, myself. Why put myself through it when I get the same results every time? If you give up on women and sex, the man-hating feminists win. Personally, I'm not going to let that happen. I will not give up.
Blanco Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 If you give up on women and sex, the man-hating feminists win. Personally, I'm not going to let that happen. I will not give up. I just can't imagine why you're having trouble getting laid. 1

GR4 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Guess I'm just more optimistic with dating. Did you have any recent break ups that may point your attitude towards this? Broke up with my girlfriend of three years about 14/15 months ago. Been single ever since and had nothing but frustration when it comes to women. Endless ghosting, endless fading away and just generally getting absolutely nowhere. I'm very almost 28 and almost everyone I know is shacked up so I don't know if I'm doing someone wrong or if I'm just unlucky. Whatever it is I'd really rather avoid finding love. You can't get your heart broken if you're alone.
BronzeAgeJaeger217 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Yip I know 2016 seems more than a fair few hours away, with the west coast of the US waking up around about now but her 2016 is rather nearer. What are your dating/relationship goals for 2016? Hopefully finally get a girlfriend, I would say my desire for a girlfriend has reached it's strongest critical point since near the end of 2013, its just a matter of knowing how to make it happen

GR4 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I am seriously considering doing exactly the same thing. Go for it. Doesn't have to be forever but maybe a year without the hassle, stress and frustration will be a great thing. I'm going to try with the girl I went out with in December and if that goes nowhere, which I'm suspecting it will, then call it quits for the time being.
nicco Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Date more types of girls around my age. Last few were 3+ years older. Maybe start a long-term relationship that will last a year.
Brapting Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Get my own place, sort my head out, find some hobbies, make some friends and volunteer... ...after all that, I might pluck up the courage to actually approach someone and ask them out on a date...which would be a 100 per cent improvement on 2015!
