Josh_7798 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Hi everyone, I'm at 17 year old guy (yes I know I'm young) and I've hit a point where I actually don't know what to do when it comes to my relationship life, here's the deal; So I've been single for about 3 months since splitting up with my long distance ex after around 6/7 months together. This was my first relationship and ever since losing her life got pretty ****. I did NC for around 2 months before my Skype (that I usually use to contact her) resent a contact request to her which she accepted and we just started talking again. I should add that after my ex and I broke up there was another girl who I began talking to and making signs that I liked her, to the point of asking her out on a date which she accepted, however it never happened and I found out she played me on due to the fact she had a boyfriend for a while. Going back to my ex, we spoke as I said and things were pretty good, but as some of you may know, speaking to your ex again brings back some old feelings, and I'm here right now with these feelings and I'm just so stuck on what to do. I'm still not sure if she would be interested in being in a relationship with me again, but I don't know myself if I'm fully interested or I just miss having someone around like her. Another thing is that her 'best friend' who has been away for a year is back and when me and my ex were in a relationship I found out he liked her a lot, and now knowing he's back is knocking me a bit sick if they got together. I'm going to University this September too which everyone says is a great opportunity to meet new people, but I'm just struggling right now on what to do. It's a weird situation and I'm hoping that someone could maybe give me some advice? Thank you. Josh.
d0nnivain Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 LDRs are hard. I can't imagine trying to do one in HS. It's lovely that you felt connected to her but let the distance keep you apart. Now is the time to plan to enjoy the rest of senior year. Look around school. Who do you think you want to take to prom? Start saving for those tickets. What kinds of great memories do you want to make with your buddies? Set those plans in motion. Keep busy. Keep your grades up. Plan for your next grand adventure: college. The people who are telling you it's an awesome place to meet new people know what they are talking about.
