Quoting Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Me and my girl have been together for 3 years. She has 2 kids with her ex. We both were addicted to opiates and then got on Suboxone. She's still on them but I had stopped. 3 months ago I relapsed and went to inpatient for a week. When I came out I went around her for a week or so and then I pretty much stopped going around and texting. Idk if the opiates had something to do with it but I hardly talked to her for the next month and a half. But I was focusing on myself and my recovery. She didn't text me either though to even ask how I was doing. But I just found out she's been out with this guy from her work 3 times. I went and talked to her about it she said they aren't actually "talking" they just hung out. She said since I didn't ever come around she thought I didn't want us anymore. But what hurt me the most is she didn't even ask me if I was giving up before going out with another dude. 3 years and she assumes I had given up and not even ask. But I didn't wanna end it, I still love her and wanna be with her. She said she didn't know what she wanted. She didn't say we wouldn't ever make it or get back together but I just don't know what to do. I've told her how I felt.
d0nnivain Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Other people / cheating is a deal breaker for me. I hope you are getting some supportive therapy as you work to deal with your addiction. Perhaps discuss this with your counselor. 1
