katiegrl Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 (edited) Maybe she simply wanted to chat with someone during a long and otherwise boring train ride. And you looked interesting and fit the bill. Plus, she has now made a new connection for when she is ready to set her website up. Also, it is possible she was interested, but after chatting with you ..although it was fun ...she did not feel enough of a click to pursue it further. Just a guess though, who knows! Fuerza Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Whoa I'm surprised about her response too...! All the signals that she was sending, were to me a sign that she liked you and wanted more from you. Maybe she did wanted the D, but the D is still being offered in some way lol. I hope she changes her mind and does have some time to meet up with you before she leaved!
StBreton Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Well it didn't work out to meet up this time. Your approach was perfect. It's a very busy time for her. Maybe she'll keep in contact ...I'd text her in a few weeks after her move. If you really like this girl contact her one more time after that ...if she doesn't seem interested at all ...let it go and onto the next. You tried your best. My boys are very young daters ...I tell them they might get their hearts broken a few times. Ya know what they say to me "ya but mom it's a numbers game" ...yes it is. Keep at it Calvin and keep us posted:)
truth_seeker Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 (edited) Just don't write a 5 page email about how shes the love of your life How about two pages of poetry? Edited December 27, 2015 by truth_seeker
truth_seeker Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 "Thanks my name - Merry Christmas! I highly doubt I will have time though, and I'm trying not to stress about all that I have to accomplish in just a couple of days.....thank goodness for family TLC and IPA in the meantime lol! Hope you enjoyed your trip home. I will keep in mind your offer for the Grouse Grind..... Take good care!" wtf? I guess she wanted some attention on the train ride? Some people get in these moods one minute, then change their tune the next. The "take good care!" line usually means "have a good rest of your life". You did the right thing and all the signals pointed to her wanting you to get in touch with her. No reason to be down... chin up, Calvin.
jen1447 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 No big deal, trying doesn't guarantee success, just a shot. And who knows what she was thinking - maybe she was down for it on the train but had a change of mind/heart later ....happens all the time. The important thing is you made your play and you're not sitting there regretting that you didn't try later. Just add it to your ledger. 1
