I just received a text from my gf of 1.5 years she claims to have been super busy as the reason she has not responded to my calls or answered my texts for 5 days.

My calls are either declined after 2 rings so they go to voicemail and my texts and messaging apps have gone unanswered. we have not had any fights or disagreements lately

Really? a response text or call takes at most 1 minute. Which is why I never buy the I am so busy line.

She works at a tanning salon I doubt she cannot spare 1 minute

This past weekend when she was not working we had planned for me to visit her, but she did not respond to my texts, calls, voicemails, I had planned tgo ask her to move in with me. Now I am questioning the whole relationship.

Something is going on but I am not sure what.

I was wondering where you have been. Ok, something is going on. It could be a lot of things. Try not to panic. To me, it sounds like she is mad about something and feels like you should know or doesn't want to tell you. But it could also be stuff that has nothing to do with you. I was just thinking it's relationship-based issues since like you said it only take a moment to text back and say you are busy; she works at a tanning salon (ie they usually have their phones right there and a decent amount of free time at least to send a text back). I can't imagine not returning my bf's texts for a day, let alone more than that--unless I was mad at him. But not all of us handle things the same.

Hmmm, at some point you should talk but for the time being, my suggestion would be to sit tight and let her come to you (in terms of next time you see one another and to spill what is wrong). Act normal (continue with normal contact that you do) and take her at her word that nothing is wrong. Good luck

Hah sounds to me she wants to move on not move in. Go to her place already and confront her.

New guy.

She tested the waters with him without breaking up with you. So you got a silence treatment instead. A day is busy, two days -- maybe if you are an investment banker on a deal and fell a sleep after pulling an overnighter -- more than that is plain ignoring you. And 5 days, on a relationship for a year and a half? Definitely a new guy.

I would say new guy too...sorry to hear. I would confront her and ask her what's going on and have an honest open conversation.

New guy does seem the most likely.

Her tanning salon job can't keep her that busy that she didn't have a few minutes in 5 days.

If she's mad at you about something but hasn't said a word and is doing this instead, she has horrible communication and conflict resolution skills.

Unless somebody died or something else traumatic happened to her, there's really no excuse for not responding for 5 days to someone you've been with for a year and a half.

You're right to be reconsidering the relationship. Definitely don't ask her to move in.

At the very least moving in is off the table. Assume the worst & prepare for the break up but do talk to her if you can

Whether or not it's new guy or some issue that she's bothered by the real question is: Is this the type of girl you want to be attached to? She is non-communicative if she's is mad over something and / or a cheater / betrayer if there's a new guy.....I personally would want someone that is loyal and someone that when there is a problem will openly and maturely discuss those issues. This is a foreshadowing of what things will be like if you decide to stay with her.

Come on now....5 days....no time to talk...either way you're not a priority to her. Time for you to take the lead and not look desperate and without a backbone. It would be different if she said, I will be slammed for the next week and will only be able to communicate for a few minutes each day but it sounds like she just ghosted you....
