Do all men have "fake" female profiles as friends on Facebook?

I have been wondering about something which I find rather "odd" as woman.

There is someone I have been dating on and off who literally has about three or four "fake" female profiles adding him every day. How do I kow they're the ones adding him? Because they start by "following" him. He's got about 25 of those following him.

I'm not sure if he's the one who is seeking them out, then a multitude of females send him requests daily or they're simply randoms.

As a woman, I often get requests but those are usually because I left a comment on some politics, religion or fun article. They're legit males with real friends.

These girls on the other hand, have 10 to 25 friends tops and post half naked pictures.

With a simple "search this picture" via Google, you realize they're fakes.

So guys, is this "normal" or shady?

This is porn or webcam spam.

Does he accept their friend requests?

Sounds like it. Also if he plays a lot of games where he adds random people to his list so he can give/receive more gifts (my sister does this and I think she's loopy) then it could be related to that, i.e mutual friends with somebody who just adds anyone, so they auto request people on different lists. Depends on what he does on there, or what you know he does on there anyway.

Another common source of these are club promoters.

This is spam.

But what's the problem? Does he add them?

I, a woman, actually get a lot of those followers on Instagram. I block them when they come up, because eww, but I was totally flummoxed as to why they were following me. My ex explained that it's based on hashtag usage. Not sure how it works on fb.

But to answer your question, no I don't think every man has those.

Maybe the bigger problem is you keeping track of his Facebook account and friends :p

But besides that, it's dumb to accept request from obvious fake profiles because they only want to get your private info, or try a scam. So no, not all men have fake female friends in their list. Maybe he just accepted the friend request without looking at the actual profile. It probably works on some guys who hope that "hot girl" is real.

Yep, he does accept the requests.

I know they're spams/fake webcam girls which is the reason why I'm concerned.

Why would he add them if he wasn't interested? It's pretty obvious they're fakes.

I used to get these when FB first came out. Some were even linked to viruses. Back then people caught on quickly and posted a warning. But it's so common place people dismiss it.

Usually these spams are linked to someone on his friends list, kinda like spam linked in emails. It might be wise of him to block his page from public view, so they can't follow him.

He's a guy....and he gets free pics of naked girls. He likes it.

Yes, exactly.

Why on earth someone would accept fake people on facebook is beyond me. It's incredibly stupid thing to do IMO. There are many more, safer ways of getting naked pics on the internet.

Why don't you ask him why he accepts them?

They are free and he gets updates on his phone and I bet he is part of a group of guy friends that share these.

This is what I've been thinking too.

The reason why I asked this question is because I'm wondering if he's actually a trustworthy individual. I mean, unless you're pretty desperate, there are indeed other ways to find free naked pictures online.

I'm starting to think he actually likes it. He adds at least 3 or 4 of them per day, not to mention those who "follow" him. I mean, this is not what Facebook is for.

I think FB is safer than some porn site.

Like I said, he's A GUY. Of course he likes it. What red blooded heterosexual man doesn't like seeing peerky tits and voluptuous ass??? unless he is actually gay. He is just being damn lazy.

I totally get that his porn habit shouldn't be exposed on the pages of FB. So tell him that this is totally embarrassing/humiliating you, because everyone can see what he is doing with these fake profiles. Tell him to either delete them and find another source to privately get photos or set up an anonymous FB profile.

Either that or just dump him. I tell you this, you can't stop him from doing it, he will just try and hide it. So your choice.

I really don't mind him looking at other girls and appreciating "beauty" so to speak. This is what guys do, taken or single.

It's a healthy habit (to an extent) in my opinion. However, there is a place and a time for everything.

I mean, this is not what Facebook is for.

FB is a networking tool for everything, whether it's for a fan base thing, group interest, business, friendship, dating, information, and of course prostitution/ porn. So yes it is partly what FB is for.

He isn't desperate, he's just a horny guy, that likes the stimulation from checking out naked pics of check. And when it is just that easy, he's gonna do it.

Now I do understand how this must make you feel, that you are not enough for him. Guys are going to look no matter how hot their GF is, BUT IMO his little habit is becoming excessive. You could address this with him and see what happens......I wouldn't hold my breath tho.

I do agree but what do YOU find acceptable??? This is something you need to bring up with him.
